Elder Hirst week 75

12:06 PM

Monday- it was a fun p day, us missionaries here in Sevilla went to the cathedral and went up the tower. That's where the movie assassins creed was filmed so that's cool. I'll now have to see it when I get home. That evening we visited Juan Carlos, a less active that we work with and he's not really progressing so it's hard, and then we visited Rosa who has a baptismal date for the 4th of February so we are helping her prepare for that

Tuesday- we had district meeting in the morning and it was good. Then that evening we met with a new investigator named Paco who's from Sevilla. He's an interesting fellow but might have some potential. Then we met again with Rosa and everything is going great with that

Wednesday- we did weekly planning in the morning, then that evening. Then we did exchanges with the elders from dos Hermanas, elder Booth and elder Van Moos. I was with elder van moos and he's a really great guy, pretty New in the mission but a great missionary. We later had the world mission conference. That we all saw at the church here in Sevilla. It was absolutely awesome and we got some cool new changes. Now the missionary schedule has changed so that we as the missionaries can make more decisions about our schedule. We still go to bed and wake up at the same time, but what happens in between and how we do the work is up to us, it's fun. Also we gained 2 hours more of p day so that's awesome

Thursday- me and elder van moos went and did a ton of contacting that morning and it was fun, we met some great people. The work has been really weird here in Sevilla lately, we've been finding some amazing people who just kind of drop of the map and don't answer their phones nor are at their houses. It's strange. We met with Juan Carlos later that evening and tried to help him some more and he said he'd try and change his attitude a bit so that's progress. That night we met with rosa again and things still are going great.

Friday- in the morning we went by a ton of people and talked with lots of people in the street and we saw a but of success. That evening we met with a less active Maritza and she's doing really great, she's come to church and is really showing signs of wanting to change and come back.  The rest of the evening there wasn't too much that happened.

Saturday- today was a really tough day. We had correlation in the morning, and Rosa's baptismal interview was scheduled for that evening.  Well an hour before the baptismal interview which was going to be done by our district leader who is an hour and a half away by train in Córdoba, we get a call from Rosa saying there's problems at her work and she couldn't make it. Our district leader was already on his way and yea, it was just sad to have to call them and tell them they came down for nothing... so we were really bummed. We had nothing to do that night so we decided we would just go to these really tall buildings in a part of our area and just knock doors all night. We knocked over 60 doors and nobody let us in or even let us talk with them for more than 30 seconds so it was a tough night, we went home with our heads a little down, but hey it's all good.

Sunday- today was a very amazing day. Unfortunately we've like lost all contact with Rosa, she's not answering or anything so we'll try and figure out what happened there. But on the way to church this lady contacts us and says that she's from Nicaragua and her son lives there still and that he was baptized fairly recently into our church. She said he's going to soon be a missionary and had his papers in, but that she's not a member and wants to start coming to church and be baptized so she wants us to teach her! What a miracle! Also our Nigerian recent convert received his patriarchal blessing that evening, and we had to be present so that we could translate the blessing from Spanish to English. It was truly one of the most memorable and spiritual moments of my mission.
