Elder Hirst week 73

9:14 AM

Monday- not too much, we just went shopping and found some great deals on suits (pics to come) but unfortunately we have to get them tailored. But man we got such good deals.  Later that night most of all our plans fell through so we didn't have too much

Tuesday- We had district meeting and it went way well. I love our Swedish district leader Elder Karn.  Later that evening we taught one of our investigators from Morocco.  He told us the truth which is that he doesn't have intentions to join the church, he just wants to learn, but he said he'll come to church and he's read the Book of Mormon already quite a bit.

Wednesday- we got to teach our new awesome investigator Jorge.  He's so awesome and such an awesome guy and really loves meeting with us. His circumstances are super hard though so it'll be hard for him to progress, but we know god will help him if he allows him to.  That evening we just focused on contacting everyone!! We talked to like 80 people by the end of the night! Unfortunately, nobody seemed really interested.  We really made a push to focus on contacting Spaniards this time but that didn't work out super well for us.

Thursday- we had weekly planning.  Then we went and taught Morrison.  For Christmas, we ordered him a set of Quad scriptures that he wanted.  When we gave it to him he was so happy.  Then he had lots of friends there at the house and we decided we would preach about the Book of Mormon to them. Lets just say none of them were happy, and they began to completely argue and weren't happy with our "other bible." Morrison was such a champ though, he defended his testimony valiantly and tried to help us explain it.  Later, we went by to visit a member who just moved into the ward.  She is from Peru and has two daughters.  We visited them and they seem very cool.  Then we went to the birthday of one of our members and investigators (who are friends) and had a little family home evening/ birthday party thing.  The best part is that they just opened up a KFC here in Sevilla and that was the food that they got.  Also, we invited one of the less actives of our area and he came and had a great time

Friday- that morning we went to stop by some members who we have been working with to get references.  They gave us 9 references which is so awesome! The unfortunate part for us is that 7 of the 9 references will live in the hermanas area so not a whole lot of work for us, but it's still good. That evening we were able to meet with a couple less actives and talk to many people in the street.  We met one really awesome lady from Peru

Saturday-  that morning, we did service for the best family which is unfortunately moving out of our ward and to ecuador. We will miss antonio and Cecilia a ton. They literally are shipping their entire house there, so we helped them pack and bring all the stuff down to the truck.  The Hermanas here helped us too. We were all dead by the end, but Antonio's parents invited us over for a very very good Spanish meal consisting of a great stew and salad.  That evening we had correlation with our ward mission leader and talked about how we can improve less active and recent convert work here in Sevilla 2

Sunday- church was so awesome. We had an investigator, Rosa, surprise us by just randomly showing up to church.  It was a cool miracle. We had stopped teaching her because she just wasn't keeping commitments, but she finally came and she said it was because on Friday she had made a conscious decision she would come, and right as she did she got a call from a person she had been interviewed by for work and she said she got the job! So she has decided it was God telling her he had blessed her. So she came and liked it and we hope she keeps coming.  Sundays are always great days in the mission.
