Elder Hirst week 89

2:22 PM

Monday- Our last p day we went to a beautiful palm tree park with all the missionaries of Alicante and our ward mission leader and his brother and cousin.  It was super fun. We ate lunch in Burger King and I'm always happy with fast food.  That evening we had The last family home evening with the amazing families we are always with on Mondays as well as frank, Lourdes, and Erica and it was a great time.

Tuesday- we had district meeting in the morning and it went great! That evening we were able to say goodbye to quite a few people for elder Greenhalgh like the recent convert Blanca, a member family etc... we also had the usual family home evening at the ward and many people came to say goodbye to the 5 missionaries that are leaving Alicante.

Wednesday- we woke up early and took Elder Greenhalgh to the bus station.  Man he could not be taking a longer trip... it's going to be a 12 hour bus ride! Anyway, I'll miss him, he was a fantastic companion and a great friend. But I'll see him in 3 months, and I'm also sitting next to him on the plane ride going home.  Pretty funny, we sat next to each other on the plane coming here, we were in the same MTC district, we were comps in the mission, and we'll be sitting next to each other going home.  Then my new companion Elder Pincock came in and it was just so good to see him. We met when we were both serving in La Mancha and he has got to be one of the funniest guys I know. And a great missionary too. Well as usual on Wednesdays, we had many meetings with the ward leaders and then just had to pick up some missionaries in our zone's companions.

Thursday- we had weekly planning and it was great. That evening we were able to visit many people.  First was a new investigator named Isabel from El Salvador. She seems to have a really sincere desire to learn and progress, she just works a lot so it's hard for her to come to church.  She has the cutest 1 year old kid though! Then we had a lesson with Frank, Lourdes, and Erica.

Friday- that morning we stopped by some people and then came up with the idea to go buy some stuff to decorate the doors of the Mother's in our area (Because Mother's Day in Spain is this Sunday) so we did that.  That evening we helped a rather strange man with English, then we visited a less active in our area from Colombia and that went very well. Then we went knocking some doors and were able to teach a nice Gypsy woman in her door. And last we visited the recent convert Angel he continues progressing well in the gospel.

Saturday- we played futbol in the morning and tons of people from our area came it was way awesome! Then that evening we did the little thing we had talked about for Mother's Day and it went super great. It basically took The Whole evening so we didn't teach anyone but we had some awesome miracles happen. We talked to a guy who lives in the same building as some members and he invited us over to come share our message some time.  We also were walking and a nice family walked passed us and said "Hello Elders!" (In english). That's usually enough to turn our heads.  It was actually a Filipino family living here in Alicante. They are members and had no idea there was a church and missionaries here. So we hope to be in contact with them. Also, my sister got married today so Congratulations to her and her husband!

Sunday- Sunday was also full of miracles.  This guy just shows up to church and we started talking to him and he's actually from Ecuador and his wife is a member.  He's here in the Spanish Military and he just straight up told us that he was there to learn, meet the missionaries, and find out how to be baptized. He lives in the area of the other elders but he's a huge miracle.  Also some random investigators i had never met showed up to church as well. So it was a great day.  And all the mom's in our area were very happy with the little Mother's Day gifts we delivered. It has been a great week
