Elder Hirst week 84

10:06 AM

Monday and Tuesday- We took a 7 hour bus ride down to Malaga and then went to Fuengirola to the mission home for mission council, then spent the night there, had more mission council in the morning, woke up and took a 9 hour bus ride home.  Lots of sitting in the last 48 hours.

Wednesday- that morning, we didn't do that much, and i honestly can't remember that well, but I'm sure we met some great people! Then as always on Wednesdays, we had lots of ward meetings and it was very good, we have some fantastic ward leaders here who help a lot.  Then we met with Frank Lourdes and Erica and organized Erica's baptism and it'll be great, it's even on stake conference so that will be fun

Thursday- we taught a less active in the morning who is really working towards coming back, and that's going well. Then we did weekly planning in the morning, and then in the evening we were able to visit this family in our ward that is from Idaho. Well the mom is from Blackfoot Idaho, and her kids are half Spanish. They live in a pueblo of Alicante, San Vicente, and they live in a house! I know that sounds not that exciting, but it is for us, because nobody lives in houses in Spain, they all live in apartments.  Anyway, that was fun and it was weird to be speaking normal English

Friday- We had district meeting in the morning, and then that evening we knocked some doors, we had a meeting with the bishop from the other ward because there is going to be a big classical concert here in the church next Friday and we want to get  a lot of people to come.

Saturday- we played futbol in the morning and it was way fun, I love playing futbol.  Us Americans this time weren't on a team because they know how good we are when we are together.  Individually we all are pretty bad.  But it was way fun and we had some people from our area there.   That evening we had general conference, Saturday morning session.  Lourdes came.  Then after we went and visited Angel and talked about the importance of reading the scriptures and why we have them and it was great

Sunday-  we just watched conference all day. Unfortunately I wasn't able to listen a ton, because we were figuring out other stuff and being with investigators and stuff, but I'll be sure and go back and really re read them. Anyway, from what i could hear, it was an amazing general conference and the talks were very inspired.  We had quite a few investigators and less actives come to the church to see the conference so that was great.  Anyway, general conference is the best.

I'm sorry if my group email is kind of getting lame.  Just lots of stuff going on, and not a lot of it is the most exciting to report, but the mission is super great and I'm loving it so much.  Hope you are well!!
