Elder Hirst week 90
9:00 AM
Monday-
we took the 9 hour bus ride down to Malaga for mission council. It was a
great council. We had a nice BBQ and it's just always a great learning
experience. Good to see so many mission friends as well
Tuesday- we finished council, and
then had exchanges with the APs. I was with Elder Dunham from Georgia
USA. We had a great exchange, I learned a ton from him and we were able
to meet and teach some great people.
Wednesday- we finished the
exchange and we took the 9 hour bus ride back that morning. Always a
brutal trip, cuz in the bus they play all this new normal music which is very
strange for a missionary. Sounds like some great music has come out during the
mission! But anyway, yea the trip is rough.
Thursday- we had weekly planning
that morning. Then that evening we visited frank Lourdes and Erica and
they are doing so great! And frank and Lourdes should be getting their papers
soon, so they'll be hopefully getting married in the not so far future!
Friday- we had district meeting
that morning and then that evening we taught Blanca, the recent convert. She's
doing pretty well, just trying to help her continue progressing in the
gospel. Then we taught a family in the ward whose daughter is baptized,
but the parents aren't and they haven't been to church in a while. We visited
them, invited them to church, and they said they'd come so that's awesome!
Their names are Rosa from Ecuador, Luis from the Dominican Republic, and their
daughter Maria. Then we taught angel the recent convert, and he too is
doing great, and sharing the gospel with lots of people. He gave us a couple
references too!!
Saturday- that morning we had
ward correlation and prepared a quick musical number. That evening we
were able to teach a new investigator from France. Remember a couple weeks ago
when we helped a random lady move into her new apartment? Well we called her
and she really wanted us to come over to share a message. So we did and it went
great! She can't wait to read the Book of Mormon, and come to church. It was a
great miracle. Then we met with some more people that evening, and it was
just all around really good.
Sunday- church was awesome!
Everyone we especially invited to church came. The chapel was absolutely filled;
people were standing in the back and everything. We had 6 investigators in
church including the French lady who we taught the day before. Her name is
Maria Teresa by the way. And then I of course talked with the family and it was
way fun!!! I love my family to death!
Love the mission so much! I'm as
busy as ever and things are just going so great! Hope you all have a great
week!
