Elder Hirst week 86
10:54 AM
Monday- for p day, we went to
the top of a diffident castle and its way cool, there are like slides at the
top and being Spain, there were of course futbol courts so we just chilled up
there. That evening we had the weekly Ecuadorian family home evening because
it's basically of all the Ecuadorians in this ward and frank Lourdes and
Erica so that was awesome
Tuesday- that morning was good,
we contacted a very nice lady from Colombia who was actually just visiting. She
was very interested, it's just too bad she doesn't live in this country, but
she gave us her address for the missionaries there. That evening we visited a
new investigator that we have from El Salvador and she's awesome, she just
works every weekend so that's sad. Then we also were able to go to the multi
ward family home evening and we had some investigators there so it was
great
Wednesday- we taught a less
active Nigerian man and he's having many difficulties but he gave us a
reference of his friend so that's great! Then that evening we had our meetings
with all our ward leaders and as usual, it went great. Then we had ward choir
practice and we're preparing for stake conference this weekend
Thursday- weekly planning as
usual, then that evening we stopped by a less active we're really working with.
He's a great guitar player. Then all the sudden my companion started throwing
up so we went home and rested. But we had to leave because our investigator Camila was having her baptismal interview and I had to practice the clarinet
for a musical number but my poor comp was dying. That night he basically spent
in the bathroom.
Friday- we had zone conference
in Murcia and i was pretty busy. I directed the meeting, had a musical number,
and my comp and I had to do some work shops and other stuff. And my poor comp
was still pretty dead. But we got through it. Then there was a baptism of the
elders in ward 2 of a 9 year old Nigerian boy. I did his baptismal interview
the week before. He's awesome.
Saturday- that morning we had
interviews with president and that was great. Then that evening started our
stake conference. This stake truly is absolutely amazing. Than that night the
moment finally came!! Erica was baptized! It was an amazing service and the
members were so involved. The young woman's program here in Alicante has done so
much to help Erica and the ward has helped so much with this family. I was able
to baptize Erica and it was a very nice opportunity
Sunday- we had more stake
conference, and we heard some more incredibly good talks and learned a lot.
Just truly ended up being an incredible week.
